Players to Watch in 2010 class

From IrishIllustrated.com

IrishIllustrated.com - Ten to watch in 2010 class
From the same school of Mike Floyd.
Seantrel Henderson, OT, 6-8, 301
Saint Paul (Minn.) Cretin-Derham Hall

As big as Gray is, Henderson is even bigger at the same stage. Henderson comes from a power program, and is also a standout in basketball and track. He won numerous events at the Minnesota Junior Olympics Outdoor Championships, and is already on the radar of Minnesota, Notre Dame, Ohio State and others.
From Ohio.
Derek Roback, QB, 6-2, 200
Waverly, Ohio

Roback has excellent size already at 6 feet 2 and 200 pounds. In 2006 he was a national finalist in the Pepsi Punt, Pass and Kick competition and is an outstanding athlete ? he runs better than 4.8 in the 40-yard dash. He was the quarterback MVP at the NationalUnderclassmen.com Ultimate 100 in June.

What's even more amazing is that Rivals is predicting great things from Roback as a quarterback, even though he isn't even the starter. Granted, Trevor Walls-- a potential D-IA recruit in his own right-- is the starter and Roback plays WR to get them both on the field, but counting him as one of ten to watch for '10 based largely on combine performances seems a bit presumptuous.

Damn. Mea culpa. Merge if necessary.

Nope...just wanted to clarify things a bit...nothing wrong with have a thread for general discussion about the top talent in Ohio in 2010. Eric Howard's name should to be a part of that discussion as well.

Noticed a Hoobler on that list as well...although this one is listed as being from Orrville and Chad went to Carrolton I believe.

Some names from Northern Kentucky to maybe pay attention to down the line (including Chris Collinsworth's son):

High school sports

Is it me, or do kids seem to get bigger and better at younger ages every year? Maybe it's just me. Anyway, at this point in the season you usually see a few younger guys step up. Here are Nky's sophomore football players I'm looking forward to covering the next two years:

Brandon Roller, Highlands
If you're running with the first team (at linebacker no less) for the Bluebirds as a 10th-grader, you're a stud. No doubt about it.

Austin Collinsworth, Highlands
Great genes, great player. I'd been hearing about this class at Highlands for a while, due in large part to the famous Bengal's son. He's lived up to the billing. He's a fast corner who can also lick.

Miles Simpson, Simon Kenton
Good size already (6-3, 190), and he always seems to be around the ball on defense.

Ricky Buckler, Bellevue
Part of me is hoping the 5-5, 130-pound running back grows, because I think he can be a pretty special player. But part of me hopes he doesn't, because I love seeing little guys like this make big guys miss.

Austin Pugh and Nick West, Conner
Something tells me this running back/quarterback combo is going to turn things around in Hebron before it graduates.

Those are just a few who come to mind. I'm sure there are more.

You are correct, Chad went to Carrollton (but the family has since moved if I am correct).
