Y2K ?I'm still reeling from the last new technology/event that ended the world.
I'm sure it will involve getting the hell off his lawn.I'm going to wait to see what Ned Ludd has to say.
been playing around on suno ai...
i gave it this prompt: "Neoclassical metal guitar cover of Grieg’s Solveig’s Song fender stratocaster swedish guitarist — emotional, sweeping arpeggios, sustained bends, with dramatic phrasing and harmonic minor runs." i couldn't put yngwei malmsteen's name in there directly, so i hinted at it. i also uploaded a midi file of about a 60 second clip of the original piece.
here's what it did... two renditions (not sure where it got the lyrics):
i'm kinda speechless. mind is blown.
EDIT: two more renditions after i added "icarus' dream" to the prompts (lyrics are AI describing the musical structure):
No way everyone in that band is trans"So, hey everyone, I realize that you've all been a big part of Trans Siberian Railway for a long time, and the truth is, well, you're fired, sorry."
Does this mean that Meta AI will be able to time travel?Meta announces plan to build multiple 5 gigawatt data centers the size of Manhattan to support AI. A 2 gigawatt center is planned for New Albany Ohio. If that’s how much power and real estate it takes to support AI in its current form, I’d say the technology has a scaling problem.
Just for reference, it only takes 1.21 gigawatts to travel through time, so we’re talking about a lot of juice here.
