Interesting. Neither his ranking nor his offer list would indicate "Florida" material. No way does he slip under JTs radar in his own back yard.

I know how much respect we give the local news when it comes to recruiting, but I was watching the local news here in Gainesville this morning and they were talking about Hounshell becoming the Gators 13th committment. They referred to him as an offensive tackle even though the screen had him listed as a DE, so you might be on to something Amy.

Florida must have been striking out on the in-state OL talent this year, they have accepted commits from OL from Connecticut, Delaware, and now Hounshell. All of them are-rankings wise-below the general talent level the Gators attract. Congrats to Chase for committing to a big time program.
