Smith: 12th team, ND & UC matchups

Apparently Gene Smith was on Chris Spielman's show and mentioned three interesting things:
- He apparently likes the idea of a 12th team tho didn't say who he preferred (hmmmm)
- Has met with ND's AD to discuss an OSU-ND series.
- He and Matta both want a UC-OSU series, but will wait until the sanctions are handed down.

(btw, this info was borrowed from BN, but I figured it was from a free radio broadcast which we can all listen to, so it was fair game)

UC is Cincinnati...Smith did an interview with the Cincinnati Enquirer a few weeks ago where he expressed interest in OSU playing UC in basketball.

BTW, the incoming ND AD AND coach both indicated in the SI article that they wish to make their schedule LESS stringent. Thus, if there is resistance to a series OSU -ND, ND-OSU my bet is that will come from South Bend IN, not South of High Street in Columbus.

Actually, ND also has losing records against the following teams:

FSU (2-4)
Georgia (0-1)
Michigan (13-18-1)
Nebraska (7-8-1)
Oregon State (0-2)
Tennessee (3-4)
Yale (0-1)
