ALA - MICHIGAN

Actually not. Our record against Michigan in the years that you beat Michigan since you last played us in 1996:

1998: Ohio State 31, Michigan 16
2002: Ohio State 14, Michigan 9
2004: Ohio State 37, Michigan 21

As usual, you're wrong.

You guys act as though I or other ND fans would be afraid to play OSU and that is FAR from the truth.

Nope, none of us expect ND fans to be that smart. Some people just NEED to be pounded over and over and over . . .

And as usual you only counted a few years.....

Uh, I counted the years that you specifically mentioned in your earlier post in which you said, quote: "Those tougher teams beat the crap out of OSU while ND beat them....ALA - MICHIGAN". So, I proved that "those tougher teams, ala Michigan" in fact did not beat us while you beat them.

Edit: I now see you just edited your post to fit your argument since I proved you wrong...

Here's the results since 1997 of games against teams we both played in the same year:

1997:

OSU (1-1) ND (1-1)

1999:
Purdue: OSU (W 25-22) ND (L 28-23)

Note that in no year did ND have a better record than OSU against our common opponents for that season.

And only once did we lose to a team ND beat.

Good catch. Also note the big differences in results against common opponents for a year:

1997 - Michigan State: OSU (W 37-13) ND (L 27-3) We blow out MSU while ND loses
2000 - Michigan State: OSU (W 27-13) ND (L 27-21) We win by 2 TDs while ND loses
2001 - Purdue: OSU (W 35-9) ND (W 24-18) We blow out Purdue while ND squeeks by them
2003 - Michigan: OSU (L 35-21) ND (L 38-0) We stay within a TD of Michigan late in the game while ND gets destroyed by them
2004 - Purdue: OSU (L 24-17) ND (L 41-16) We lose to Purdue in the last few minutes of the game while ND gets killed by them
2004 - Michigan: OSU (W 37-21) ND (W 28-20) We dominate Michigan while ND wins close

Man, I wonder if NOTREDAMECHIEF's ass hurts as much as my foot does...
