Game Thread tCun at tOSU, THE GAME, Sat. Nov. 30, 12pm ET, FOX

We need to take the ball first if the 3 and out is greater than a 50per cent probability. I’d rather get it out of the way before our opponent scores. I think it’s fugazi that the strategy is try different things rather than score.

Its not that they're not trying to score, it's important to remember that unsuccessful plays are just as useful for the plan going forward as successful ones.

I'm expecting this to go somewhat similar to the Iowa game.

Absolutely the right comp, imo, if it wasn't The Game.

For the record, I am confident OSU wins this Game but I am skeptical of these 3TD spreads I am seeing only because of hard won experience.

If they have a coach that gets "it", I don't mean is good, I mean that gets The Rivalry, they will be a different team on Saturday than they have been all year.

Just think back to 2012-2014. Hoke, for all his fat fuck failings was washed in the blood of The Game. He took zero dimensional offenses with semi stout defenses and damn near beat us 3 years in a row when the teams had zero reason, on paper, to be in it with OSU.

This tsun team is a zero dimensional offense, a really good DL and an all world place kicker. The rest is a bunch of Iowa level (or worse) flotsam that doesn't belong on the same field with the kind of talent OSU has....except it's The Game and you just know it won't play out exactly that way.

For sure, the Iowa comparison is purely looking at things from a logical perspective. If there's anything we've learned it's that logic can absolutely get thrown out the window this week.

I'm really disappointed in this board. All this talk about keys to the game and what they've done the last 3 years and you keep overlooking the most important key. The most important thing is this year tcun D won't know what play we're going to run pre-snap and tcun O won't know what defense we're running. That's probably a 21-24 point swing right there. Our guys won't be nervous, they'll be angry. We have more talent, better coaching, home field, and they don't have our signals. We've seen the difference that makes for them all year as they've struggled. This is going to be fun.
