GoPowercat.com - Sources: K-State hires Patterson as coach

Rivals is reporting that TCU head coach Gary Patterson has been hired as the new Kansas State head coach. Article says Patterson's representatives have been in negotiations with K-State for the past 2 weeks.
If the "two weeks" portion is true, TCU is probably better off without him. I know it is difficult for you guys to swallow last night's loss but what would have happened if this would have gotten out and you did go undefeated. That would have been a real mess. The guy is a weasel:!

He's turned down offers from Arkansas and Minnesota in the past. I figured when he bolted it would be for a better program than K-State, and I certainly assumed he would leave on better terms than this.
Money money money:sad2: I would have thought Arkansas would have it not more potential than K-State:tongue2:

Please tell me we don't have to watch Utah play the SEC at-large team this winter :smash:

If they beat BYU, I think they'll play the ACC Champ in the Orange Bowl, since the Sugar gets to pick first and will probably take the Big East Champ based on name recognition (if it's WVU).

The other way to avoid your stuation is if Texas Tech and Penn State make the title game, and Utah gets selected over somebody like Pitt or Cincy out of the Big East. But Utah wouldn't be playing an "SEC at-large" team, they'd be playing the SEC Champ (Florida or an Alabama team that lost to LSU). I'm sure that makes you feel better. :tongue2:

My guess is that the non-BCS conference (Utah/Boise St) team will go to the Orange Bowl with the last selection.
