I don't buy the software.

Just pay about $20 a year and use turbotax through Yahoo.

Hard to believe that the software isn't faster than doing it on paper.

Really. Here's how it works here:

1. Time to get the receipts/stubs/1099s from wifey: 55 minutes.
2. Time to pencil in the return: 5 minutes.

(1) is a variable, give or take an hour, (2) is fixed. Sure, I could track the receipts, but I need someone to blame in case they get lost. :tongue2: :tongue2:

Once wifey is working again, and/or traveling as a nurse, I'll let a CPA do the honors. Plus we'll be plunking away more into the grandkids college funds...not real sure how to handle that yet.
