Tax Refund?

I got my back 3 days later.

Got my state on Feb. 13 and my Federal on Feb. 17.

I got my state refund about two weeks later...

Are the Feds taking FOREVER to get your refund back into your bank account anybody?

I've been waiting a good two months on them!

Defenitely call them. 3 or 4 years ago, I waited five or six weeks before calling. The day they processed my check, something apparently happened with the transfer to my checking account so it didn't go through. Instead of calling me or sending something, they did nothing and were just waiting for me to call to authorize them to mail it because they could only attempt an EFT once.

Did you do it online? Guy I worked with a couple of years ago did his online and thought he sent it, but forsome reason it didn't go through went and looked a few weeks later and relized it never went through.

I used to do it by hand, then switched to the telefile, now I did it by hand again since telefile is no more.

Well, I plan on doing that next year when I start using the 1040...I've only needed the 1040EZ till now as I don't really have any deductions to make.

I claim 8 exemptions and still get a huge "refund". There seems to be a point of diminishing marginal returns on the number of exemptions because it didn't seem to help much when I went from 6 to 8 over the past 3 years. Since I have 5 children, I get all of my federal money back. So the only way to not get a "refund" is to make it so that the feds don't take anything at all. I don't think that's really possible, so I will always get a "refund".

Getting around 3k back (thanks to getting married and buying a house last year). Bought a PSP and some games, wife's gonna spend some money and the rest is going in the bank.
