I don't know. Not sure if he can help us in run defense. Lacks the physicality needed to play the position. Avoids contact. Seems hesitant. Lacks good instincts. Not sure Knowles is recruiting the right type of players. (Sarcasm font now off)

He’s not an athlete he is an actual linebacker. We would rather recruit physical specimens and workout all Americans then teach them to play the position and schemes…we implant Spielman DNA to get that innate barbarian gene all LBs need. So I like the recruit a linebacker rather than the continual science experiments.

Had to quit watching his film, I don't want to get my hopes up too much because the film is amazing.

Haha same my man, I had to stop because I don't ever want to see this kid in any uniform other than S&G. He has Katzenmoyer-like aggression and impact on the ball carrier. Not the same size but yikes, he just explodes through a tackle. I have already gone on enough, hopefully we have a shot here.

I think the "Tackett" trilogy is Lyn Nofziger and L'Amour wrote "Sackett".

He's 218 as a HS junior. Marotti S&C can have him at LB size in no time.

Think that's as much a function of his ability to read and his speed. Putting him at safety allows him to be an eraser- essentially the opposite of Schiano era LBs.

I know it's not easy pulling a kid from the south where you basically have no presence (is our only LA recruit Nadar Abdallah?), but you can't help but keep your fingers crossed on this one. All I know is I would never want to line up against Tackett. Hope the visit went great.
