Switching Cell Phone Provider

PrincetonBuckeye

The eyes of Texas are upon you!
My wife and I have been with Sprint for about 4 years now and we are thinking about switching to Cingular.....Does anyone have Cingular and if so how is their overall service? A few of the nurses at work said they like Cingular but I have heard horror stories to. I know everyone has those stories about cell phones, but I wanted some more input....

That is a problem and we ARE working on it.....

Sounds like a joke from a commercial, but it is the gospel of Cingular. I don't use them, never have, but my old company did and it was one excuse after another for poor network coverage, dropped calls, etc.

Every time one of our guys would call in for customer service they would here that line at least once.

Without totally trashing Cingular, I would say that when our company used them they were relatively new in Columbus, and they made our VP some crazy deal to switch to them. I don't think they have gotten any better in customer service, but I think their network coverage may have improved.

That being said, good cellular service is largely determined geographically. Certain companies have better coverage in different areas. Here in Ohio Verizon has better network coverage than anyone else, but where you are it may be different.

Check around, you should be able to get a comparable deal with anyone.

I currently have cingular and as far as reception it is on par with Verizon. The first coupe of bills we had from them were really messed up and we had to call them out on a lot of things, but the past 3 months have been really good just have to watch close.

I was really happy with verizon and wish we would have never switched to be honest.

When I left Sprint after 6 years, they tried to pay off my house to keep me. Those fuckers won't do shit for you until you are leaving.

My suggestion....get a city, county, or state job and get a phone that is paid for.:wink2:
