I've seen a few epis. I know how to cross a volcanic tundra and can survive if I ever crash my plane or snowmobile in northern canada/greenland glacier.

Actually, the snowmobile epi was kinda interesting because he mentioned how shitty it is that he's gotta film himself.. meaning, of course, he's basically gotta do everything twice... walk away from the camera in to the distance.. then go get the camera he just left... and so on.

I like this better!
"Man vs Wild" with Bear Grylls!
about.jpg

Man vs. Wild

Bear Grylls is a seasoned adventurer who served with the Special Air Service, a special forces unit of the British army, where he was trained as a survival expert. His experiences include climbing Mount Everest, crossing the freezing North Atlantic Ocean in a small, open boat and climbing a Himalayan peak described by Sir Edmund Hillary as 'unclimbable'. He has been places and done things that would defeat most normal people. But now, he is up against something completely different.

In each episode of Man vs. Wild Bear strands himself in popular wilderness destinations where tourists often find themselves lost or in danger. As he finds his way back to civilization, he demonstrates local survival techniques, including escaping quicksand in the Moab Desert, navigating dangerous jungle rivers in Costa Rica, crossing ravines in the Alps and surviving sharks off Hawaii.

I watched an episode where this dude was in the middle of the african savanna with nothing to drink so he grabbed a huge pile of Elephant shit squeezed it out and drank the water. I was watching it with my dad and we laughed till we cried. Dad said I've seen a lot of things in my 50 plus years but I've never seen a guy take a drink from a pile of shit. :slappy:

Both shows are really good though.

I saw that episode and about puked. Now, if I were dying in the middle of the african savannah, I might drink an elephant shit juicer, but, if I were just in the african savannah making a TV show? I think I'd pass on the elephant shit juice thank you...
