Fads aren't 30 years long, generally. Are they?
Exactly. Fads are things such as bell bottoms jeans. The 16 year old doesn't seem to understand just because something is at a high point does not make it a fad. and really you can go back further than 30 years if you wanted to talk about comic books in movies.

Captain Marvel (Republic, 1941) - Based on the classic superhero, this early production featured excellent special effects and a great performance by Tom Tyler</TD></TR><TR><TD></TD><TD class=text>
Batman (20th Century Fox, 1966) - Ridiculous and fun. Everyone played it straight in this film, which makes for a sometimes hysterically funny movie.</TD></TR><TR><TD></TD><TD class=text>
Barbarella (1968) - Jane Fonda stars in this camp classic based on Jean-Claude Forest's comic strip. Cheesy and fun</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
So if you wanted yo ucould say that comic book movies go back all the way to the 40's. So I assume things live electricity, Televevision, cars, airplanes. All just fads.
Should we talk about comic books on tv to or is that just a fad also?
