Twas a pretty great game. The middle was pretty lame, but hard fought. The 4th Q was fun.

the Giants got 17-14.

This was one of those great Super Bowls - the type that really keeps you on the edge of that sofa or other seat, or on your feet, for the entire game.

To anyone who complains about the low score - nonsense. This is what great games should be about. Toughness, great Defense coupled with the scent of an upset. History in the balance and history made one way or the other.

No 19-0 for the Patriots. Instead we have back-to-back wins for QBs who are brothers.

Instead we have the first NFC win since 2003 and only the second this century.

This was a great game, a great upset and hugely enjoyable for me - a neutral fan.

All QB's do. What's your point? Give the guy some credit. I know he's hated by a lot of people and hasn't lived up to expectations but he had a hell of a run in the playoffs.

For me it finally showed what the weakness of the Patriots is. Old lines on both sides of the ball and an old linebacking corp that had a hard time dealing with a team that hit them in the mouth play after play and that brought pressure from all over the field. Can New England get back here? Absolutely, but they have more work cut out for them than I could have imagined now that the rest of the league can use this game as a blueprint for success against them.

It's really not that much of a surprise. Since the midway point, the team simply hasn't looked that great. Almost beaten by Philly playing with a backup QB? Kyle Boller?

They should have crushed a David Gerrard led Jacksonville team or a team led by Philip "ACL tear" Rivers. but they didn't. They simply weren't that good.

It taught me not to feel so badly about the Buckeyes' NC losses. These Patriots really were one of the best teams ever, despite this loss, but anyone can win in a one-game season.

Alright, so I live in Manhattan. I gotta say that seeing all my elated co-workers tomorrow is going to make me feel worse about having a chance to win a championship at Ohio State 3 times over the last 2 years and having come up short every time.

Looking outside my window, I can see a sports bar emptying and people partying in the streets. It makes me feel bad all over again about OSU's recent losses.
