Stupid family delays flight - blames airline..

The only reason a kid under the age of 5 should get on a plane is to fly out of state for an emergency medical procedure. Where the hell are these people taking a kid that young? On vacation? Take him to the local amusement park, a kid that young won't remember or appreciate Disneyland anyway. To see Grandparents? They're retired so make them fly to see you. I hate kids, I even hated myself as a child.

Seriously, what would you do in their situation?
A general anesthetic in the closed fist form...just kidding.

It's definitely tough. I had to fly to LA and the entire decent this little boy who was sitting behind me was crying his eyes out because his head hurt. The father was holding him and trying to calm him down, trying to make him sip on some juice that was in this bottle or eat some crackers so he'd swallow something. The wife was getting mad at the husband because he couldn't really do anything, which in turn made the child even more upset. I thought the kid at one point was going to choke on his tongue or something from crying so hard. As frustrating and annoying as it was, I felt bad for the family, namely the husband and the boy because it was probably his first flight, and he didn't know what was going on. There was a little girl who sat across the aisle from me who never let out a whimper. Some people take change of cabin pressure differently I guess.

I hate people.

Jerry: Well what about these nitwits that get on a plane with nothing to read? You know who these people are?

Elaine: Who?

Jerry: These are the people that want to talk to you. They got nothing else to do, why not disturb you?

Elaine: I will never understand people.

Jerry: They're the worst.

They really have no choice. They live in New Jersey, and their families live in Texas and Oklahoma. So, it's either fly there or drive in the car for hours and hours and hours.

I don't travel to Florida on a regular basis because I don't want to put myself or anyone else through dealing with my kids on a flight or long drive.

Once you have kids, decisions are made for you. Flying to Texas from New Jersey is off limits until the kids know how to make their ears pop and relieve the pain.
