(This is not really a political issue per se, so I am putting it here to maximize exposure.)
We are getting closer to another major election with unlimited funding most of which seems dedicated to making my phone ring 10 times per evening. Call me old fashioned, but I like my home phone and want to keep it. Unfortunately, political robocalls are exempted from the Do-Not-Call registry.
I have learned that Representative Foxx of Virginia has introduced a bill to remove this exemption. It's been sitting for a year and a half waiting consideration.

IMO it is an incredible no-brainer for any politician to prove that he cares about his constituents. I have already contacted my representative (Stivers). This post is a call to arms for others to do the same!
It costs nothing. Hurts no minorities. Favors neither party. It does not stop such calls - it simply allows citizens to opt out of receiving them.
