Honest question here:

Despite your record year after year, how can you root for a team that has Braylon (scUM) Edwards, Kellen (Crotch Rocket) Winslow, and Brady (I'm a Top 10 Pick, Bitch) Quinn?

I used to root for the Browns, but I can't get myself to do it anymore.

I would like to say loyalty, but I think stupidity is a better description.

Offensively, today was probably the worst game I have ever seen an NFL team play.

We have two of the worst decision making QB's to ever set foot on the field. I truly think you put Quinn in and get some experience. Corky and Shithead just aren't getting it done and never will.

How Derek Anderson has made it this far in the NFL is beyond me. He sucked at Oregon St.

On the Browns? I'm not surprised at all.

Drafted 6th round by Ravens and subsequently cut... "hey, our division rival cut him... he must be pretty good, right?" Right.

I'm not sure about starting Quinn, but I think Cinci and Oakland would at least be good games to get some playtime.

by the way Anderson looked a helluva lot better than Charlie....how Charlie is on an NFL roster is beyond me.

To another point, ESPN reporter John Clayton said during his pre-season training camp reports, that our receivers were big names but very one-dimensional...we don't have any quick cut guys, who can beat a jam with jukes rather than just physical receivers...and he's absolutely right

As bad as Charlie Frye was/is how many of those replays revealed open receivers......we have the type of playmakers you throw jump balls too, not guys you throw quick slants or 5-7 yard outs too...they aren't quick enough

This team has addressed the o-line, and truthfully I thought it looked decent, but our receivers are completly overrated and we should use our first rounder this year on a guy like Mario Manningham/Desean Jackson

............crap

I really see zero benefit with throwing Quinn in there now. All you're gonna do is watch him eat turf and lose confidence. He won't be facing second and third team defenses now. All that will do is turn him into Tim Couch v2.0. Hell, he'll even likely end up being the #1 pick by default when the pick we traded is #1 overall next season. It's true he's not gonna learn from Frye and Anderson, but he's not gonna learn running for his life either. Still a lot of work to be done before we can even think of sniffing the playoffs again.

Maybe I'll change my tune in a couple weeks, but I want the dude to have a chance to succeed in the NFL...especially considering what we gave up to bring him here.

Thankfully we'll have a high 2nd round pick, maybe we could get somebody like Gonzo. Nah... that'll never happen.
I think we have bigger issues at RB though... Jamal Lewis was never going to be a permanent solution, and now it just seems even more painfully obvious.

True. Our DB's got smoked all day as well...I agree we have more pressing issues than Wideout, but until we have a receiver who can actually make the D play off of them with speed and quicks, our QB's aren't going to be looking at much when in the pocket

And the upcoming draft is going to be RB heavy, especially early in the round, when the Browns would have been picking. Now that the Cowboys get that pick, they'll be able to get either an elite WR (if there are any) or whatever else they need (probably a DB or OL).....

Hopefully one of those elite picks fall to the top of round two.

I'm not giving up on Lewis after just one game, but everybody knows he's not a long term answer at the position.

As for WR, well, we're just fucked. Hopefully we can find something in FA.

I'll tell you one thing; as a Browns fan, I'm sick of talking about potential offseason moves after one goddamn game every year.

Reason #1 why I started flipping channels and attempting to play with my daughter after that 4 penalty fumbled snap punt.

hey crennel, why not give quinn a chance? He cant be worse than Frye or Anderson!!
so wrong... at least Quinn is still alive... which he probably wouldn't be if he started before week 6

I didn't get to watch the game... but my son called and when he said Frye had been sacked three times already... I said "more are coming, because he'll start to brain-freeze... shell shocked... he won't know what to do so he'll just hesitate"
