State of Georgia Recruiting

I'm saying that if you are the uncontested top program in your state (apologies to your alma mater) and you are regularly struggling to keep large numbers of the top 10-15 in state kids from a school like Clemson, then there's a problem.

Using this logic, you can have five running backs on your roster and you would still drop absolutely everything to make sure a 4* back doesn't go to Tennessee.
Regardless of how thin you might be in the secondary and how the state of Florida sure does have some good CB's.....

I'm not offended by what you say Muck, but this just isn't practical roster management. To say nothing of the fact that recruits read depth charts too. They know how many are in front of them and what their chances look like.

And, using the example of Clemson, if a recruit chooses to go there, he's still playing in front of 85k, still has a remarkable chance to go to the NFL, will still play in Primetime...yada, yada, yada.

UGA's staff isn't pulling a Bielema and "only recruiting with gentlemens agreement."
They're doing the best they can to maintain reasonable roster depth in the nations most competitive recruiting grounds.

You know what...how about we just pretend that my saying that Georgia gets beat out far too often for it's best local kids by lesser programs really did mean that UGA should pursue rankings over needs? I'm not really feeling like beating my head bloody against the deliberately obtuse today.

If by every you mean every player listed before #3, then yes. Every single one.

Excuse me? Which of these players besides Cortez is viewed as having any chance of playing at a school that's not in the south?
let's try again, typo. I glanced back at the list right above it.

If by every you mean the all three before number four, then yes.

Literally 9 straight hours in my car to go 50 miles. Mother Nature: 1, Atlanta: 0. #IGottaPee #Snowpocalypse pic.twitter.com/XHXJQaEh5B

Live update from ATL. I've moved .6 miles in the last hour. Yes, there is a decimal point in front of that number. pic.twitter.com/AbM9sIQhVv

Papa Woof is a high school principal in my home state.
Called him last night and he confirms it's as bad as advertised. Zero plows or salt trucks in suburban areas, very limited ways for tow trucks and emergency vehicles to get to accidents.
Many people abandoning their cars (or having them run out of gas) and simply walking home. Local Krogers and Publix laid out sleeping bags and mats for people to spend the night.

Extremly poor planning and execution by Mayor Kasim Reed and Governor Nate Deal.

Could be, but I also understand that the National Weather Service seriously [Mark May] the bed when it came to predicting impact area of the storm, which I believe they had missing metro Atlanta by 50 miles. That can't help your planning.
A bit reminiscent Hurricane Katrina, also according to Scout, UGA only has commitments from 3 of the state's top 20.
