no because if the rule is correctly applied, the guy with the puck isn't going to do it, it's guys like Holmstrom....that penalty is meant for the guys in front of the net, not the ones driving to it with the puck.....

True, but there are other times when I guy gets some help from a defenseman, crashes into the goalie and gets the gate. When in doubt, they're protecting the goalie, which isn't a bad idea.

Of course, before they made the nets breakaway a guy would never crash the net that way unless he wanted broken in half on a post.

not sure what hte official rule is. Needless to say, something like that isn't called in regular season, let alone the stanley cup finals
