Stanford -7.5 at USC (ov/un 60.5) Sat 8 ET, ABC-Reg

Stanford has won 10 straight games by at least 27 points. No other Division 1 team has had a run of 10 straight 25+ poiont wins since the polls began in 1936.

TSUN actually won 11 straight by 25 or more from 1903-04, with Fielding 'Hurry Up' Yost's "point-a-minute" teams. They shut out all opponents except tOSU (31-6) in that run.

The forward pass was illegal, and touchdowns were worth 5 points.

But most of us would be happy if Stanford broke that record anyway, right?

Here are other 10-straight wins of 25+ points that I've found. This list might not be complete, but Princeton and Penn never did it.

In 1886, Harvard won 10 straight by 34+ points, all shutouts.
In 1890, Harvard won 10 straight by 33+ points, all shutouts except a 74-6 game.
In 1891, Harvard won 10 straight by 26+ points, all shutouts except a 44-4 game.

In 1885-86, Yale won 10 straight by 25+ points, all shutouts except a 29-4 game.
In 1888, Yale won 12 straight by 28+ points, all of them shutouts, coached by Walter Camp.
In 1890-91, Yale won 12 straight by 26+ points, all shutouts, coached by Walter Camp.

Disclaimer: What follows is from spreadsheets, not opinion. It is not a recommendation for how to bet your v$.

Differential Statistical Analysis is defined in the Stats thread which is currently on the front page of the Buckeye Football board. It provides a pair of "predictions" for yards and points for each team.

Stanford: 35.0 to 40.0 points and 431 to 462 yards
Trojans: 13.4 to 13.5 points and 333 to 337 yards

U$C just fucked themselves and the refs are reviewing it to screw Stanford.

Reviewing this to potentially put one second back on the clock is stupid and extremely unfair. Even if the clock should have stopped there, there's time that bleeds from the clock unnoticed and unscrutinized throughout the course of the game. I know it runs counter to the way most Americans think about sports, but the refs should not be allowed to treat time on the clock at the end of the game any differently than at any other point.

Eh, I agree with you but I don't count since I was born in Germany

hopefully over 100 total points :)

USC and the Over already won

Not so fast my friend.

If there are more than 2 overtimes then 2 point conversions are mandatory. Stanford could get the ball first, score a TD, and then get a 2 point conversion. Then hold USC. So Stanford could still cover the spread.
