Spring overall.
But inside us there's another unity.

Behind each eye here,
one glowing weather.

Every forest branch moves differently in the breeze,
but as they sway
they connect at the roots.

This was a poem written by an uncle of mine, Virgil.
It was probably written about 1930 so it will probably seem corny to youngsters but it is kind of fitting for spring.
Rest In Peace Virgil.

. A SPRING REVERIE
Honkers a-sailin' high in the sky
-Robin red-breasts just flyin' by

Mallards in a pond floatin' along-
Bob-whites a-chirpin their familiar song

Frogs on lilly-pads croakin' at day break-
Bass breakin' water out on the lake

Turtle doves cooin' at the settin' sun ?
Chipmunks and gophers all on the run

Violets hidden far in the wood ?
Lilacs a bloomin' that smell so good

Crocuses stirrin' from a wintry bed ?
Lookin' for tulips so pretty in red

Farmers a plowin' out in the field ?
Getting' soil ready for a fresh new yield

Seeds that are plantedcomin' up soon
-Little sprouts peekin' up at the moon

Lambs bleatin' wildly at their very best-
Baby chicks wanderin' far from their nest

Little foxes venturin' free from their lair
-New colts prancin' with shiny black hair

Trees no longer saggin' heavy with snow ?
Grass growin' green not far below

Earth and its creatures come alive once more
-As Spring in its beauty opens the door

Thank you Lord for all of these things
-Warmin' our hearts with the comin' of Spring
For all good things come truly from You ?
Placed by Your band 'neath a canopy of blue

I meant to do my work today,
But a brown bird sang in the apple tree,
And a butterfly flitted across the field,
And all the leaves were calling me.

And the wind went sighing over the land,
Tossing the grasses to and fro,
And a rainbow held out its shining hand--
So what could I do but laugh and go?

APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.

For our resident genius Buckguy, this is not actually my own composition: it's by some old dude named Eliot...
