ESPN is a joke... I don't care who says different.. There are a LOT of biased analysts on ESPN... Lee Corso, Lou Holtz (most biased homer out there), Desmond Howard (COUGHDUMBASSCOUGH!), Mark May (dumb fuck), and the best move ever was getting rid of Trev Alberts! Mark and Trev had field days with bashing Ohio State a few years back, anyone remember?

So for this joke of a tournament to come out with two teams who AREN'T even in the National Championship in their little fictional piece of junk (voted on by THREE, one of which HATES Ohio State, people) tournament is garbage...

That's why they play the game.

Impossible.. they've already told us who the greatest teams of all time are... 2003 Oklahoma. 2005 USC.. Both those teams, of course, didn't win the National Championship.... which leads me to my point:

The fact that they're NOT calling OSU an unbeatable juggernaut is a good thing.

Simple Arithmetic:

controversy = viewers = $$$$

LSU is Better than OSU = controversy = viewers = $$$$$$

If you think this kind of math doesn't drive the media to say things like, "LSU is the hot team and they take down the Buckeyes," you need to take freshman math again. Of course when you give Lou Holtz, Les Myles and Charlie Weiss a month to get ready for Ohio State...

One thing ESPN obviously didn't take into account in LSU vs. tOSU is the coaching factor. Tressel is one of the best big-game coaches in the country whereas Miles is probably the worst coach at a big-time college football program.

They didn't take anything into account except the desire to create some controversy on a slow news day.

Which is more likely to drive up traffic?

a) BYU beats Oregon

b) We think LSU would beat Ohio State

Correct response? Screw ESPiN!

Shit! If only we had a playoff like this. Then teams that lost twice would get a chance to prove on the field they're better than a team that went undefeated. The 2-loss USC team in 2002 was screwed out of chance like this, same as 2006 LSU. And simply because they lost twice - it's so unfair!
