Sports 'journalists' (Who Don't Work For ESPN)

Al Michaels was good 20 years ago as well. Sometimes these guys need to know when to go
This is a huge peeve of mine. How shitty of a person does one have to be to be worth over 20 mil and not retire on the spot to spend time with their families? Maybe its because I didn't follow my dream but I can't imagine being so filthy fuckin rich and not spend my time with the people who mean the most to me. A job is a job. Retire already you fuckin boomers.

I think I just heard Gary Danielson is done at CBS now that the Army Navy game is over.

If so, Thank God. He's awful.

I dont mind Nessler as much. Danielson has turned into a dipshit. Used to be a good commentator like 20 years ago.

I always liked Danielson, but I rarely watched games that he was on because SEC. Seems like he is having more difficulty keeping track of things on air, so it is no surprise that he is retiring.

Yeah both Danielson and Nessler are done. I also believe that Collinsworth is retiring.

Now if we can just get the Thursday night twats and Romo out…..

Sad thing is Romo was good for about a hot minute when he started...then he heard he was good, and immediately began believing he was the star of the show, not the football. It went Lusitania quickly after that. As self-aggrandizing as Brady can be, he is at least following the game that he's watching, instead of doing whatever it is Romo does now. He still interjects his own career way too much, and the PBP guys he's with also do it too much...they were talking about him milking cows and shit on Sunday. Most of the people calling sports nowadays are insufferable twats who think it's about them. It's the same reason a guy like Vitale, who could be a sharp analyst when he wanted to be, became an insufferable douche. As soon as the commentator thinks he or she is a "brand", it's all over. Danielson got that way. Collinsworth has always been arrogant. And of course Derpstreit is the King Kong Bronzer of overbranding.

There are some guys that aren't bad...Moose, Vilma, Kevin Harlan, Ian Eagle is OK...but they are few and far between.

As ESPN promotes a 30:30 telling us about Stuart Scott being a cultural icon.

He had a few good lines. None of these people are the actual entertainment.

None of these people seem to realize that.

Scott Van Pelt has a logo as if he’s Michael Fucking Jordan. I’d say bread and circuses, but I don’t think we’re even bothering with the bread anymore.

Yeah a computer that takes all the shittiest parts of the current shitheads and combines them into mecha-dipshit
That’s how they packaged the various financial instruments that led to the 2008-09 financial crisis. Apparently the theory is that if you take brown shit, black shit, reddish brown shit, and yellow-brown shit and combine it, it forms a beautiful rainbow of non-shit. Just because it didn’t work then, doesn’t mean it won’t work now, right?
