Sports 'journalists' (Who Don't Work For ESPN)

Klatt has lost all credibility with his attitudes towards TCUN. He once was an interesting weekly podcast. I haven't given him even a cursory look for the last two years. That's not an emotional response. I just value my time and found that I no longer came away from his podcast with one useful or informative insight.
Joel Klatt is the next worst thing to Kirk Herbstreit....

Same here

Used to think Gus and Joel were the best team in the business

Used to like Joel’s stuff on YouTube

Something happened

Yes, the vapid take on the cheating was tedious, but it’s like he rationalized being a shill at that time and that rationalization infected every aspect of his work

People give him a lot of crap and he can be over the top, but at least he is right more often than not. Targeting opinion aside, the guy knows what he's talking about usually and I really hope he's right here, except for Clemson even though I agree.

Klatt is more insufferable than me. Self fellates on his always-strong opinions which turn out to be wrong more often than not. The Larry Merchant of CFB, if you will. I'm excluding his obvious observations that no one would get wrong (of which I am the king). If you want actual great analysis, listen to Saban and then Urban, in that order.

I don't mind Klatt. He knows more than I do about football so there's that.
I'm still annoyed that he (and everyone else) has taken to accepting the cheating that happened for so long up north.
I'll probably give many or all the chance to say that they were wrong before deciding to hate them forever.
