This is based on Clemson winning rematch and Buckeyes ending 7-0. Only reason given for Ohio State being 3rd is playing less games. No other reason. Has Clemson vs Ohio State in Pasadena.
I agree with the projected matchup. If Bama wins out, they’re #1. If Clemson beats ND, they go above ND since ‘no Barbie’ in the first game. They can’t have Clemson and ND end up 2/3 and play again right away, so ND goes down to 4 and gets Bama.

tOSU and Clemson would be 2/3, the order doesn’t matter.

It could never happen, but I would love to see Florida beat Alabama 35-0, and then Florida gets left out of the playoffs. This would be Mullen:

Let's see how many WTFs we can find in this first paragraph.

The Crimson Tide are coming off a thorough 31-14 dismantling of No. 3. Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl. Wide receiver DeVonta Smith and quarterback Mac Jones -- both Heisman Trophy finalists — led an offense that racked up 437 yards and 7.9 yards per play against a solid Fighting Irish defense. It'll be the Tide's fifth national title game appearance over the last six years.

The Buckeyes will be making their first title game appearance since they topped Alabama in the semifinal and Oregon in the title game after the 2014 season. The emphatic 49-28 win over No. 2 Clemson was led by quarterback Justin Fields and his Sugar Bowl-record six passing touchdowns.

I really enjoy dismantling vs emphatic. I would assume dismantle gets a bigger emotional reaction your everyday CBS Sports reader than emphatic but it could just be me, but then they drop this line further down. :banger:

The dismantling of Clemson in the Sugar Bowl was as emphatic as any Ohio State big-game win since the 2014 title game.

Dismantle: to get rid of a system or organization, usually over a period of time

Emphatic: done or said in a strong way and without any doubt

Why no mention of the yards the Buckeyes put up or of a stout Venerable's Clemson defense?

F off Peacock.

Exactly what I was going to say. Guess I won't be watching the EPL any more. Even if it's free to stream now, it is just a matter of time until they start marking the best sporting events premium.

Oh my god it’s even worse than I thought. So they’re shuttering their sports network but can spend $1 BILLION on WWE Network streaming rights? Wtf are we doing. I hate everything.

What it is is these media conglomerates are eating up every property that has even a hint of making money and putting them under their banner so they can catch the majority of the cord-cutters who want to have the content without the cable.

Data I can find says 500 events a year, 36 million viewers in 50 countries.

I don’t know what a viewer is worth in terms of advertisers but I’m betting it adds up to a lot more than a billion over 5 years or they wouldn’t do it.
