Look, you can debate all day whether he "committed" or not. In Gwaltney's case, he has already "committed" at least twice in one shape or form. One has not held up and the other is being denied. Right now I don't think he knows what he wants. Did he "commit" to SC just so he wouldn't be the one sitting while everybody else did their little thing? Did he "commit" spur of the moment before thinking about the implication of playing 3000 miles from home?
Jarrett "committed" to OSU the day before LOID, and we saw how that worked out. Certain kids seem to change their mind numerous times. Gwaltney would certainly fit that bill. For that reason alone you can bet OSU will still pursue him aggressively, and I wouldn't be surprised if he "committed" once or twice more between now and Feb. A lot can happen to a kid's thought process once he's back home. The thrill of a west-coast visit can easily wear off.
