Look buddy, I don't really care anymore. If you want to consider Southern California as a Northern team then go right ahead and do so. Heck, if you want to consider Alabama, FSU and Florida as Northern teams then that is cool as well. I gave you a list of National Champions since 1990 and I will let you draw your own conclusions. Based on that list, I think the Southeastern region of the United States plays the best football. :)

Of course you do. Most people in the Southeastern region say the same thing. Regardless of reason.

Well at least I posted reasons as to why I believe it. O think most unbiased people would agree with me.

Of course you do... except you fail to realize that there is no such thing as an unbiased person in college football. Talk to a Big XII fan.. they're the best conference ever, and they'll attempt to support it. Hell, you can even hear bigleast jokers try and make the arguement.

Ok, in your opinion which region is better for football: Southeast or Midwest....and why?

Midwest.

Why?

Ohio State
Michigan
Notre Dame
Dan Marino
Archie Griffin
Penn State
The legacy of Jo Pa
Tony Dorsett
Red Grange
Chic Harley
Minnesota pre 1960
the list goes on.

Did you know:

Football existed before the mid 1980s?
Florida State used to be a chick school?
Miami of Florida used to be godaweful?
Florida has had more losing seasons since 1970 than Ohio State has had since the program began?
The SEC has a reputation of being any good because they cheat?

Midwest has a rich tradition of excelling at football. The South East does not. Don't get me wrong. There is pleanty of history in the SEC. There have been outstanding teams in the SEC. Football, however, is a game invented in the midwest. It screams midwest. Iron men playing an iron game.

you DO realize that Jesse Owens was born in Alabama?
I'm trying to figure out if you are making fun of Thump or if you saw my initial post and thought "Here's an idiot that doesn't know Jesse Owens is from Alabama!" without seeing my reply to Thump a page or two ago.

Yes, I know Owens was born in Alabama but did most of his growing up in Ohio. I could also tell you that after the Olympics he made money by racing horses and eventually died of lung cancer because he was a habitual smoker. In any case, it doesn't matter and in retrospect maybe I shouldn't have posted those pictures since it was a tongue-in-cheek jab at the whole "southern speed" argument.

Well, in fairness to Texas, you folks do love your football down there. I'm talking "another leve" kind of love... like we have here in the midwest. (none too hidden jab, g8er)

I'm still pissed at you for ignoring my question about Louisana though. :p
