Sparty (straight up) at tOSU (ov/un 129.5) Sun 4 CBS

amir is terribly frustrating to watch. he doesn't position himself for rebounds. he stands flat-footed. he doesn't attempt to rebound out of his territory. he over-commits himself on the hedge, forcing his teammates to scramble for the open cutter. if he has the ball below his shoulders, it will never get above his shoulders. you can't pass him the ball because his hands are embarrassingly weak. he tries to block everything, which often results in a freebie offensive rebound.

ugh.

Ravenel is on today too. Hmm. Looks like we are scared to put Ravenel on Nix, Amir is doing a good job against him defensively.

The score was tied 22-22 with 4 minutes left.

Sparty leads 31-25 at halftime. :ohwell:

Back to back HORRIBLE Lenzelle Smith shots that led to MSU fast breaks, compounded by a terrible Lenzelle turnover forcing a bad pass down-court on what should have been a good fast break opportunity if he threw it to the correct guy really ruined what was a solid first half.

Not many shots were dropping but the defense was solid and the offense was creating good opportunities. A quick 6-0 MSU run spear-headed by a guy who is supposed to be our veteran leader can't happen...

Shannon Scott and Aaron are penetrating really well today and creating wide-open looks...just have to make more. It's pretty simple.

By the way, the bench is playing fantastic. Evan played smart ball with the exception of a deep baseline jumper he should have red-lighted himself on, and Q is playing solid defense and rebounding well. Wish he knocked down a few of those open looks but he's doing the right things. Shannon played great.

Ohio State has the parts to beat anyone in the country, unfortunately those same parts allow them to lose to anyone in the country.
