Solid request.

The new line pays out 3-to-2 if Sparty gets at least three 15-yard penalties (not offsetting) in the game that are something besides pass interference. The 15-yard classification will apply based on the max allowed for the call; so a personal foul inside the 30-yard line still counts even though it's marked off at half the distance.

A pair of 15-yard penalties on each team that cancel each other out will NOT count as a Sparty 15-yard penalty.

Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio is trying to be more respectful of Michigan, which he can apparently do as long as the media doesn?t goad him into making critical comments.

The Detroit News reported that Dantonio complimented Michigan coach Brady Hoke this week, saying, ?I think Brady Hoke handles himself at times much better than I do.?

Dantonio?s implication was that reporters sometimes coax other sentiments from him. Such as in April, when Brian Bennett of ESPN.com asked him about Michigan?s recruiting rise under Hoke and Dantonio responded, ?We?re laying in the weeds. We?ve beat Michigan the last four years. So where?s the threat??

Recalling that quote, Dantonio said with a smile, ?It?s you guys that stoke that fire. Nobody?s done that yet, so we?re good.? He also blamed his alter ego for the quote. ?The other guy was talking; I don?t know,? he said.
