Sparty +9.5 at tOSU (ov/un 127.5) Sat 6 ET, ESPN

I just hope Deshaun Thomas doesn't really think about the NBA, because his defense will expose him very fast at this point. Although, kids have different reasons to declare or not.

Need to beat Sparty up there now.

Let the critiquing and tearing apart of this team come from ESPN/CBS, but I'm still riding with them. Just a bad, bad day. On to the next one. Go Bucks.

The criticism for tonight is well deserved and I'm okay with it. Maybe that'll strike a nerve with the guys - whatever it takes to get them going.

We barely beat an average Purdue team then got whupped by Sparty. A wake up call is in order, and frankly I hope the media delivers it.

Michigan State has not played lights out in this second half. They have been missing shots and Ohio State has had multiple opportunities to come back. Somebody other than Craft is going to have to step up because he can't do it by himself. I can't believe how many times I saw them come up empty after a Sparty turnover.

Props to Michigan State for the great defense that they played. Craft played well but there was nobody to help him.

And Sully.
:(

I am a little but he did have a ton of boards. For his game to be most effective he needs to hit the tough shots, get the calls, and have his teammates hit shots. He didn't get any of the three. Two of those aren't really his fault.

He had a bad game, I am disappointed in him, but a lot moreso Bufford the senior who disappeared... check that, unfortunately appeared to much and was off, and Thad who refuses to let anyone minus 7 guys play.

That for the love of god learn, we need to utilize depth more... we have talented players waiting but you never use them.

Worst game we've played against one of the best teams we've played = big loss on our home court. Even though I know what Buford is capable of, I'm still in favor of taking him out for a couple games. He needs a break to pull it back together mentally. It's not that he has a bad game here and there...it's that he only has a good game here and there.

Agreed though, outside of Craft, the entire team played awful today. Not really a lack of effort (other than Thomas playing lazy D at times), just couldn't buy a bucket.

I was not saying it was undeserved, as it may have sounded. I'm just saying that I still believe they have what it takes to win it all. They played like (Mark May) today and tuesday, and have a lot of areas to get better at, but so do a lot of other great teams around the nation.

Fine with me as well. This team just doesn't have the mentality and patience to win consistently. This kind of game is similar to the ones OSU has once they reach the S16. Buford is MIA, Sullinger struggles down low because there is no outside shooting threat, and there are long stretches without any baskets being made.

Work 12 hours today, come home to find out my oldest son threw the wii remote into my big screen tv, can't say a word because he was playing the wii with grandpa, forced to watch this pathetic performance from the bedroom while ESPN turns my last two brain cells into a milkshake, and find out that my wife has to work til close tonight. Sumbitch! Is it Sunday yet?

I thought by this point we'd be tougher than last year. Not the case. We really stunk it up 2 nite in our biggest game of the year to date. Not a good sign, I'll be curious to see how they recover, we've got some seriously tough games coming up. Give full credit to MSU for stepping up, and at our house to boot.
