I believe it's debatable that we're living longer.

Check the US statistics then. The fastest growing age group is the over 100s. The 65-80 age group is growing some 75% in this decade, certainly because of the baby boomers but also from longer living. A visiting professor from recently showed statistics that Americans who retire healthy at age 65 now have an average life expectancy of another 32 years. We're living longer.

All of which makes it sad that Sparky didn't live longer than 76. RIP coach.
