Spain +21.5 vs. USA - Gold Medal Basketball Game
GOLD. Don't even care about my lost vCash
Kind of like that Phelps guy being a scummer, every once in a while, we are all Americans, and sometimes we need the Olympics to remind us of that.

So for tonight, I say, GO USA!

Next Saturday, I will say GO BUCKS!

And that last game of the year for the Bucks, well...

Can they call a foul on Pau Gasol... ever????

He pushes in the back on every rebound.

Marc might be even worse. It's no wonder he doesn't do jackshit in the NBA if that's his game.

No.

I have been spending the last two hours wondering if moving picks were legal in the international game after watching him.

No shit. Sticking a leg out. Sticking an elbow out. So a hand-check is a foul, but a hip-check is a-ok? Of all the billions of off-ball fouls called, I can't recall a single one being an illegal screen.

God help me, but give me NBA officials over these clowns.

I gotta say, having watched these games, these guys actually play well together, LBJ and Kobe especially have shown they don't need the spotlight to do their part, something I was concerned about. I am a Lakers fan, and I love LeBron but I had concerns with those two playing together, considering it's almost a rivalry when they play each other, but they showed me that they both have the ability to put their egos aside for the sake of their country.

Now you guys can resume your usual Kobe hate.

Spain played about as well as they can. Overall USA did not have one of their better games especially defensively, etc. We still won by 11 points. I'll take it.

Playing an "unselfish team game" for USA in the 2008 Olympics and winning the gold has to somewhat help improve Kobie's public immage.
