Hey trojan fans, how confident are you guys about Jordan Hicks? I was talking to my friend out here in SoCal and he seems pretty confident. Makes sense considering you guys only recruit 5 stars, but I would like to see some other opinions.

It's off topic, but considering that he is going to the game it isnt really.

We are a very nice, pleasant, polite fan base, by and large. USC fans, come one and come all. Cheer for your team. Scream your hearts out. Come early for tailgating and spend the day. Play games and eat good food. Meet some Buckeyes and make friends. See Ohio Stadium. If you want to drink, mind the open-container laws.

Sure, a few of you might run into the occasional assholes from our side. We like to think they're undercover Meatchicken fans infiltrating our ranks and acting like assholes to make us look bad. And sure, your fan base may have its share of assholes too.

I hope you all have a good time in Columbus, and I hope your team loses.

If you had to pick one of the relative unknowns from your team to have a big performance in this game, who would it be?

Basically, who is the guy who the other team's fans don't know about now but will after the game is over?

FR WR Duron Carter, Will probably play when we go to 4 wie. Reports say he has the best hands on the team, and has not dropped a ball all fall practice.

Since there will be many new faces on both sides of the ball since last year's game, you could almost say anyone but Pryor would be an unknown for USC fans. You may not be familiar with Jermale Hines, #7 S/NB/OLB, but I think he will make an impact in this game. He mostly plays our "Star" position, which is a hybrid NB/LB that can switch between 4-3 and Nickel packages, but may also play some FS. The reason I think he will impact the game is that he may be our best chance to contain Havili on pass plays. He's fast enough to cover one on one, but is tough enough to defend the run as well.

Brian Rolle, #36 LB, should also make some noise. He's only played on special teams and in mop up duty prior to this season, but is listed as our starting MLB. One of those players who always finds his way to the ball carrier, and makes his tackles pop.

Unknown to anyone who wasn't at the fall scrimmage is Jordan Hall, #29 RB, a true freshman who was the biggest surprise of training camp. Reportedly showed the ability to run between the tackles, as well as the speed and shiftiness that he was known for as Pryor's HS teammate. Don't know if he'll see the field, but he and Brandon Saine, #3 RB, could be dangerous catching passes out of the backfield.

Is Brian Rolle considered a unknown? If so, then him for sure.

Pete named McKnight the starting TB yesterday. Surprising that the San Jose State game will only be his third start.

He's talented, but Buckeye fans can hope that his ball security issues resurface in the 'Shoe.

But Johnson, Gable and Bradford should all see the field.

Stafon would have made a heck of a starter at 100 other schools. I guess he'll have to wait until the NFL to get enough carries to do his thing.

I live in Altadena a few blocks from the fire's edge. What's amazing to me is that the smoke plumes are so large that they are actually creating their own thunderheads. You can see them in the sat photo, those two white spots above the smoke. Those are clouds, not smoke, created by the rising heat of the fire. What's absolutely crazy is that these thunderheads are starting to generate dry lightning. It's like the fire has grown so large that it is now self-aware, and trying to spawn offspring asexually. No matter, the impending hurricane will come and put it all out. Natural Disaster Battle! (next reality show?)
