Take heart Buckeyes! This is exactly the kind of situation that Tressel thrives in. Being a underdog in our own house. Disrespected by the entire country. Hearing for months how we suck. USC the greatest team ever, again. We don't have a chance, blah, blah, blah.
I expect a maximim effort from this team with no quite. They will make us proud on national tv. That's all we could ask of these kids.

I hope you are right, but I was thinking the same thing before LSU and at the Coliseum last year and for some reason we just could not "bring it".

Realistically, I feel that we are past the "we've been disrespected and we will prove them wrong" stage.

The one thing I feel good about is Terrelle's skills, but other than that, anything will be a bonus. I've got nothing much against JT's playcalling because that's who he is and there's no reason why a conservative coach cannot consistently beat teams with "innovative" coaches if the execution is flawless. That's where we have laid eggs repeatedly, sadly. The last few years of O-line and D-line performance in big games has been patchy at best.

My hopes and prayers are for some sort of a miracle, but the most likely outcome I see is a 42-20 type defeat, with us scoring on TP's brilliance and getting a few INTs off Barkley but USC running for over 250 yards and controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides.

here are some of my thoughts from the navy game and what it means for usc.

our tackles were less then stellar. id almost rather see johnny simon play and suck up blockers or let the bigger heyward play there. i think doug is a little too small for the inside (isnt he around 280?) and he gets thrown around. luckily most of uscs runs are stretches to the outside so hopefully our ends and lbs are ready.

pryor looked really good for the most part but one thing that wasnt mentioned by the lackadasical announcers was the fact that posey got hurt and rarely played. he's our go-to guy and we will need him next week, really hurts the passing game without him.

anderson russel is in a funk right now. i dont know what else to say, i know tressel wont take his spot away but when we come out of nickel next week it kinds of erks me that jermelle hines will be on the bench.

rewatching the game im not as scared about this week as i was. we played it close to the vest:osu: and hopefully tress has some tricks up his sleeve. if the refs call that terrible facemask on saine we probably take it in score and go up by 22. maybe its a good thing we faced some adversity however and it can only help saturday night.

sorry for the rambling

I wonder if anyone has ever won a game with just safeties - you know - and had like four of them to beat the other team that had a touchdown?

Miss State almost did it against Auburn last year. It was hilarious.

It was 2-0, Miss State. They gave up the game winning FG to Auburn to lose, 2-3.

Considering how instrumental Jenkins was last year in slowing down McKnight and Gable, I really wish we still had him this year. I wonder who can step up with that kind of physical capability.

I would expect Ray back...just bad timing for a case of the flu... precautionary hold out from what I heard. We also shold get Jermale Martin back and I thinkPosey was pulled due to a minor injury on Sat but he should be back.
