South Carolina's Jonathan Williams forces Kentucky quarterback Andre Woodson to fumble the football.

Kentucky's perfect start was spoiled by the one ball coach who knows better than almost anyone how to humble the Wildcats. South Carolina defensive end Eric Norwood tied an NCAA mark with two touchdown returns and Steve Spurrier improved to 15-0 all time against No. 8 Kentucky (5-1, 1-1) in the 11th-ranked Gamecocks' 38-23 victory last night in a Southeastern Conference game in Columbia, S.C.

I don't think UK's D was ever considered their strong suit. The D allowed 24 points. Two of USC's TDs were defensive scores. Add up the turnovers and the fact UK's kicker can't drive the ball past the 10 on kickoffs, and SC only had to drive more than 60-some yards once.

One poor performance doesn't lose a Heisman, but all those turnovers certainly put Woodson on the outside looking in. What really bothers me though, and it's becoming an epidemic in CFB, is when the offense lines up between the 20s, then stands up and looks to the sidelines while the O-Coordinator changes the play. Screw that. Woodson mostly audibles in the red zone. Between the 20s, it's out of his hands.

I don't think any QB should win a Heisman when they're not even managing the offense for the bulk of the game.
Nothing here that I don't agree with. My point was besides the two fumble recoveries/td's how many td's would a top ten D give up? how many would our D have given up?
