im not a country fan but this new brad paisly song is pretty good. reminds me of my grandfather and his outlook on life. i believe its called "when i get where im going"

pearl jam "last kiss" in hs i was following a friend in his car, got hit by a drunk driver. died. pretty homoish that the song reminds me of him everytime i hear the song, but when you see, witness and feel something like that it changes your outlook on life.
 
who you'd be today - Kenny Chensey. i first heard that song a few days after my cousin died. now every time we have our daughter in the car, that song comes on during the ride, almost like he is watching after her.

When I was in jr. high, a tornado hit in my neighborhood one afternoon. Just before it came towards us, the song "Cars" by Gary Numan was playing on the radio. Everytime I hear that, I think of the tornado.

Also, everytime I hear a Bruce Springsteen song, it reminds me how much I hate Bruce Springsteen.

"Vogue" by Madonna reminds me of my dad. He loved Madonna and always listened to this song while stretching before going out for a jog.

"Two Princes" by Spin Doctors reminds me of my high school softball team. We would start every road game with this song on the boom box. :lol: (We won the state championship my senior year!)

"No Rain" by Blind Melon reminds me of undergrad. That song was really popular and really overplayed my freshman or sophomore year.

Anything on Guster's "Parachute" CD reminds me of wrecking my Jeep. That was playing at the time of the accident. :(

Two Princes reminds me of going to see those idiots at OU (for free) and how fucking bad they sucked.... and me thinking about sueing them to get an hour of my life back.

Worst concert I ever saw was Lifehouse at the Ohio State Fair a couple of years ago-I literally fell asleep-my buddy had free tickets. Needless to say, we walked out about 2/3 of the way through the show, and walked past the CD101 booth, where they were blasting Social D-"Story of My Life", I think-it was like an instant antidote to the ultimate crapiness of Lifehouse inside the arena. "Hanging on a Moment" reminds me of how Mike Ness would kick the crap out of those hosers w/ his little finger, and light a match for his cigarette on their asses as they lay on the ground crying.......

Tommy Roe's Sweet Pea reminds me of freshman orientation at Ohio State. I stayed in Baker Hall and was walking to the Union. They were playing it on the Union's 2nd floor outside patio.

any song from Taproot's "Welcome" and Nirvana's black cd remind me of the 2002 Buckeye Football season

That song reminds me of one of my idiot college roommates. He listened to that song over and over.

Also, "Electric Avenue" by Eddy Grant reminds me of lunch hour in our high school cafeteria. One kid used to set the jukebox up to play it nonstop. My best friend brought the record in to put in the jukebox and everyone hated him after a week.

When you mentioned freshman orientation, the song "Keep the Fire Burning" by R.E.O Speedwagon came to mind. It was playing while I was sitting around in the waiting area right before orientation started. I don't think I've heard the song more than a handful of times since then.

BinMich mentioned "Electric Avenue" by Eddy Grant. That reminds me of driving down the street where I used to live, because that's where I was the first time I heard it.
