I got tattoos and piercings to be different. You shouldn't look at me as different....

Sorry. But if a person is stupid enough to let any schmoe with a needle & ink use their body as a canvas, and then further deform themselves by sticking metal studs in their face and deforming their earlobes with rings, then those people have earned their place at the bottom of the societal totem-pole.iambrutus;941195; said:while i agree that those are choices that the people made, i still feel that its discrimination against them. whats next, are they going to ban hair dye since that's not natural either?
Dipshit. Don't worry, with all these tatts, no one could ever ID you for a crime.OCBucksFan;941414; said:
Yes. Your jeans and T-shirt is not a protected class. Also, rules vary (at least here in Ohio) depending on the number of units. 4 and above has diffrent laws than 3 unit complexs and under.MililaniBuckeye;941721; said:So, they could refuse to rent to me because I wear jeans or T-shirts? There is a reason we watch people of other cultures deform themselves on National Geographic and think to ourselves, 'Holy shit, those people are fucked in the head!'
A few tattoo don't bother me, personally. But when you get into the realm of the bizarre piercings and ear deformation and ink from head to toe ... then yeah, sign me up! I don't want the freakshows living next to me either.

I'm just wondering because i love tattoos, i have 7 of them right now, no piercings, but if i could - job wise and money wise, i would be covered and also have a few piercings.
Would that change who i am now? No. So why are you so judgemental on people that just choose to express themselves in that way?
I know alot of people that are covered and they are great people, just because they have tattoos and the piercings dont make them savages. they will help out at any time with any problem.
iambrutus;942361; said:and they are stupid why? Just because you do not approve of their tattoos and piercings does not make them stupid, it makes them different from you (not that its necessarily why they did it), which is why this country is great! That is a very close minded statement to make.
I personally have eight tattoos currently and i will continue to get them until i have gotten all of what i wanted. I do not get them to be cool or to express my inner creativity - i have gotten them because it's what i wanted to do at the time, and because getting the tattoos is very relaxing to me

OK. The "living" thing was a statement of my choice for one extreme or the other, it being an all-or-nothing proposition. That if I had my druthers to choose between two apartment/condo communities, I'd pick the tattoo-free neighborhood over sharing a duplex with the cast of Miami Ink.Ginn4Heisman;942394; said:as of now, yes, but i also have some that show depending on what i wear.
like i said, if i money wise and job wise it was ok to be covered with tattoos and piercings. I would be. I fully know that tattoos/piercings can hinder you getting a job or in this instance a place to live, but Dryden said that he wouldnt want anyone living near him that was covered.
i never disagreed with the law they were talking about, i was asking dryden why he would not want someone to live near him with tattoos or piercings.

Maybe I wasn't clear ... I don't have a problem with tats, and I don't have a problem with piercings. Now, my prerogative is that I think I can go about my life without ever having either done to me, because I don't know if 20 or 30 years down the line I'm going to regret it. Tattoos look fine when you're 25 or 30 or whatever ... but I don't think they look so hawt on 80 year olds though. My complaint was more along the lines of the kids today that are putting those rings in their ear lobes. Sorry, but fuck that. That just grosses me the hell out. I don't even want to imagine what's going to happen when they're 60 or 70? What will they have to do, have all the excess stretched skin from their lobes amputated? No thanks.
My point was more along the lines of how could someone -- such as the genius in the mug shot linked above -- get that far?! How does someone go home and look themselves in the mirror and say, Damn ... I'm lookin' fine!
That's me, I guess ... I just don't get it.
