I sure hope so, it seems to have a lot of potential.

I really like the cinematography in this show, it is really cool.

Most importantly, the plot seems to have good structure, and it is well-written.

I hope the second episode doesn't disappoint.

anyone have a favorite new show for this season?

Mine is definitely Pushing Daisies. It was awesome.

Pushig Daisies was the best pilot - I agree.

Question is, will it have the legs to last beyond the novelty value?

I really enjoyed it. It's nice to see an artistic presentation of a show every now and again. It was very Amelie-esque in its styling, which certainly isn't a bad thing. Quirky, cute, and very entertaining.

There is another show that I really like that started this year:

Chuck, on NBC.

It has had great character development, overall writing, good comedy/action mixture, and Yvonne Strahovski (Sarah Walker on the show) is HOT.

Also, for those who have Showtime, the series "Californication" was VERY good.

BSG. I'm not a much of a sci-fi guy, but that is one of the most intelligent, well written shows on television.

As to shows returning after the writer's strike, Big Bang Theory. Frickin' hilarious.

Never got into 24. Too simplistic, one-dimensional, macho-fanstasy. Did Clancy write it?

Loved that show - I'm also waiting for Big Love on HBO, and (don't laugh) the Tudors on Showtime...

One show that just came back is Everest on the Discovery channel - its sort of reality TV but only the show follows groups of people trying to summit Everest. Pretty friggin sweet.

Certainly the best new show of the season. Other than The Office, there is not a show on television that makes me laugh as much as Big Bang. The writers have captured the "nerd" culture perfectly.

Season 3 is amazing, easily the greatest of all time television show

I was really surprised at that one too. The promo commercials looked awful (and the pilot wasn't great), but after giving it a shot, we kept watching.

Sheldon is my new hero.

I wish they would write Leonard out of the show. Johnny Galecki is probably the most recognizable of the cast, but his acting is atrocious. The only one on the show that isn't even remotely believable.
