I think the only way to properly send off BP is for every user to create their own ominously titled thread.
I still remember one my first posts criticizing Maurice Wells and @MililaniBuckeye castrating me for it. For some reason, I stuck around.
I will miss you all in this arena, but In a way, this is probably healthy for me. I’ve realized that I still like watching college football but it in an of itself is different than it was 20 years ago. It really hit me seeing the announcements about players hitting the transfer portal and I could recognize about 1 of our every 10 names - most of them could have been AI generated for as much as I know.
My $5 a month can help a starving kid in Africa or a neglected pet. (Honestly, it won’t even cover one of my wife’s Starbucks lattes.)
I won’t have 47 open BP threads on my mobile browser.
I can interact with others in my household and at parties instead of stalking game threads.

I've reached out to heisman. Things are very different for me than they were 3-5 years ago, and I feel far more able to keep the gerbils fed so the wheel keep turning. I'm sentimental in my old age, knowing online fora are dinosaurs, but when I got a text this morning about the site shutting down it was a kick in the stomach (so much personal history here, not just for me but many others). Have made and lost very close friends here, we've all lived and cheered and mourned through so much.
