So proud I'm a Buckeye!!

I have been on this board for a few years and have posted a few times but not too many. I am so happy I am a Buckeye for obvious reason (#1 cause we ROCK) but then again for 1 very special reason. If I wasn't a Buckeye I would've never met the most special and important person my life. Her name is Mandi and she is "THE ONE" and we hope to be married someday.
It all starts out I was at TGIFridays on a blind date my roomate had set up for me. He told me the girl was from Iowa (I though good midwestern values) and she was 5'10 "athletic" so I said what the heck we spoke on the phone a few times and we decided to meet for dinner. I got there ahead of her and got a table then she walked in. 5'10" "athletic" turned out to be 6'2 "enourmous". I mean this girl should have been recruited by the Hawkeyes. We had dinner and chatted a bit but decided it wasn't really what we had in mind for each other. So I get up to go to the bathroom (wearing my OSU visor) and I'm waiting in line (busy Friday night) and I hear "O-H!!" and I turn and see this girl sitting with her friends so I give an "I-O!!" back to her. I go to the bathroom and when I come out she is standing there waiting on me. She introduces herself and tells me she is a school teacher here in Fort Myers and that she is a Buckeye fan. I told her I was on a date that night and she sked how it was going. I said " not as well as I'd have hoped" so she gives me her number and says to give her a call sometime. So I did. Long story short she is the best thing that has ever happend to me. We spend every Saturday together watching the Bucks and she is just a passionate as I am. She yells at the TV just like I do and I'm not gonna lie we have our differences (she likes Mo Well (because of his hair) and I don't LOL) but for the most part we have a blast watching the games. I owe it all to me wearing my Buckeye gear, otherwise I'd have never caught her eye. What makes you proud to be a BUCKEYE?????

For me it's going somewhere and having someone say oh your a Buckeye's fan. Being in Missouri most people here tend to despise us. But when you run into another fan it's that much better. I'm not an alumni and I have never lived in Ohio, but when I first saw tOSU pound MU when I was a kid I have been a fan ever since. No matter what, win or loose I'm still going to wear my fan gear. When someone has something negative to say I just smile and realize they have no idea what being a fan of Ohio State is like. I also like rubbing it into a Michigan fans face when thhe try to give me shit about my team. The funniest comment I ever heard was one SCUM fan say TP was overrated!

Can you get a 25% discount on Buckeye visors from EBay? Something tells me they'll be a hot item now.

Sorry, I already bought all of those up. I'm now re-listing them with a 250% markup. Suckers!!!1!

Maybe he has a beard, too?

No. It's matter and anti-matter. They can't co-exist.

EDIT: This is not a visor bash. Maybe, on some island in the Pacific, exactly halfway between the equator and the North Pole, there is an undiscovered civilization that has beards and wears visors. But in the rest of the world, if you can wear a visor, it's too hot for beards. And if it's cold enough for beards, visors are irrelevant. Just wanted to clear that up.
