My fiance (at the time) gave me a single copy of that the last time I saw her before I shipped out to Saudi in 90. :so:

Crap! I just had a flash of "Seasons in the Sun" ....I had to go hit my fingers with a ball-peen hammer to get it out of my mind :[censored]ed:

Van Halen did most of their heavy lifting during the 80s, so I'd have to say I like some 80s music.

I've had to listen to a lot of 80s artists, most wash-ups now, for the last month and a half. Air Supply sucked, their lead singer sounded awful. Rick Springfield was somewhat enjoyable, and Starship was actually pretty decent (I like We Built This City). Oh, and Nightranger totally rocked. They covered Highway Star and I could have sworn it was Deep Purple before I remembered that it was Nightranger, Deep Purple wasn't playing Food & Wine.

They didn't get their start in the 80s, but Kool and the Gang was like a lite version of Earth Wind & Fire. Very enjoyable and energetic, but not quite as awesome.

Eddie Van Halen's guitar on "Hot for Teacher" is some of the most scorching, incredible electric guitar riffs ever! After all this time(26 yrs?) it still amazes! Guitar god! .............. I bow to you, Eddie!

you can't talk about the 80's without mentioning the greatness of Whitesnake
