Snow/Icestorm pics from C-Bus

The words used on The Weather Channel from a field reporter in Chicago.

"What looks like to be a historic storm"...

Weeks like this are precisely why I love snow. This winter and last have been a wonderful diversion from the typical icebelt of the towns along I-70.

I expected much worse. People made it sound like we were actually going to have bad conditions in Columbus. :p

Weak! OSU sent out an email to staff yesterday reminding us on weather-closing procedures, all the local news were hyping the Great White Death of 2011, and it turns out to be just a little icy this morning. And of course OSU has simply refused to succumb to snow-days yet this winter (despite Columbus City closing several times, when in recent years we had generally followed Cols' example). Now tomorrow sounds like just slushy rain, and they don't call off for that... :(

That wasnt the actual storm. That was the weak deformation band that came through last night. Tonight is what will define the storm.

It will pour freezing rain, but the question is does it change to rain, and if so for how long. If it doesnt, tomorrow moring will suck.

I forgot to add when... if the winds arrive before a possible switch to plain rain then that could also increase power outages.
