Snow/Icestorm pics from C-Bus

Thump

Hating the environment since 1994
  • Here are some pics that I took this morning of some of the ice damage.

Just heard there are about 200,000 w/o power on the East side of C-Bus out to Newark. Some won't have it back on until Mon. or Tues. AFTER Christmas!! That sucks. Luckily my power is on here south of Canal Winchester. We got mainly ice here.

I apologize if these take a while for you to download but thought you may want to see what it's like here in the Columbus area.

BTW, These are just 3 of about 15 pics I took.

Couple the fact that my firm is one of few that is open today in Columbus with the fact that today happens to be the celebration of the day I was born with the fact that I got an early jump last night on the big 2-7 courtesy of Mr. McFadden's Scottish Ale and what do you get? A pissed off me...

Here's another pic from out of one of my windows.

You can see all of the branches that form mini brush piles under the tree.

There's still branches falling off as I type this. With the wind picking up it will get just worse.

The insurance companies will be taking a hit with this one.

I think I'd rather have the 13 inches of snow than this stuff!

Thump- Just tell the wife if she would have let you cut down all those trees like you said you wanted to when you bought the place you would have these problems. So she should be the one out there cleaning up the yard

I already beat you to it buckeyefool. She said she was thankful that I trimmed the one that hung over our deck b/c if it hasn't been trimmed, our deck would have 100% been crushed.

It probably won't amuse anyone that I had to turn the air conditioning on yesterday.

The flip side is I sort of miss snow, and Floridian life wasn't so great during this past hurricane season.

Hope everyone gets their power back on. Power lines aren't buried everywhere, why?
