Smokin' Aces - Movie

Anyone who went and saw Borat (amazing!) saw the Smokin' Aces preview as well. Anyone else extremely pumped to see this? I for one am a huge Piven/R.Reynolds fan so I could see this movie rocking pretty hard. The best part of the trailer/preview is towards the end when the music keeps thumping and they just keep showing different people with their hitman guns blazing. Looks like a killer flick.


The basic idea of the movie is that a bunch of different hitmen are racing to kill this one man (Piveen). It also has a ton of other big name actors/actresses in it, but those two stick out to me. Others include: Ben Affleck (who doesn't look like a total douchebag here), Ray Liota, Alicia Keys, Common, Jason Bateman & a couple others.

Piven looks like money in this movie. Bateman has been a player post arrested development.

I saw the trailer on Apple. It looks great. I hope the movie is as good as the trailer.

After watching the preview a couple more times, I think Ryan Reynolds will make this movie. His part I'm sure is small, but I've liked him in just about every other movie role he's had. I bet it blows up with the male crowd once it hits theaters.

I can't wait to see this. I've been a big fan of Jeremy Piven since PCU. Ryan Reynolds kicks ass too. Man, this should be a great flick.

See this yet Kyle? Movie was a lot of fun and quite twisting plot line as well. Fairly intelligent and a lot more serious down the stretch than I would have ever expected. I would recommend it to anyone though.

Smokin' Aces was a good movie as long you don't actually try to understand it. The movie has so many holes it's ridiculous. But besides that it was good, I guess.

No, I still like this movie regardless of the terrible holes in the plot. I will buy this on DVD, and I think the acting was good too. I just wish they hadn't fucked it all up with the retarded attempt at piecing together the fucked up story. And yea, The Tremors were great.

bigballin is on point...as long as you aren't a stickler for character and plot development, this is a great movie. lots of guns and fire and a cool ocaen's 11 type feel to it, especially with the soundtrack. it was certainly worth the $8 but it won't be winning any awards.

Just wanted to say...bought the DVD and it comes with a good amount of extra materials. The alternate ending is very short, but there is other stuff as well. Check it out.

He's only in it for about 5 minutes but he's very jittery and humorous. I wish there had been more of him in the film, but definitely acted his part well.
