Hey, sort of an obscure question, but is BP ever going to be reorganized?

I noticed that it's layout since it started as a real small fanbased site (which is still fanbased, but is now a very popular site) has not changed.

Are there any plans to ever make the site a little bit more user friendly? I don't by any means think it's not user friendly, but it doesn't seem as "modern" and professional looking as sites like the Ozone.net and Hornfans.com.

Just a curious question! :wink2:

Huh. Maybe I'm just used to it, but I think our design--at least aesthetically--is superior to Ozone and hornfans. It's cleaner, more compact and far more customizable.

Again, maybe I'm biased, or maybe I just have stale eyes, but I wouldn't see a change towards Ozone or hornfans-esque style as anything but a step backwards.

I'm curious what you are looking for...

1) The O-zone puts out a ton of content, with regular galleries and columns, which are well organized. Their message board format is not very intuitive at all, tho it has a qwirky fun quality to the subject line conversations.

2) Horn Fans seems like a less organized BP, since I don't believe there's a way to view all of the forums at once, or see a list of the most recent posts.

Do you mean you wish there were more links to specific forums on the front page?

I think it has to do with the overall view of the site. I know when I first came to this website about a year ago, I was turned off by the look. It has grown on me since and now I am very used to the look. I am a big fan of two other sites that I use which were designed by the same group of guys. www.soxtalk.com, www.talkbears.com They both do not get as much traffic as BP, especially talkbears which just opened up right before this years draft.

Gentlemen, I've been in this business a long time, and if there is one thing I've learned it's this... MORE COWBELL!

I was thinking it would be cool to split up the recruiting forum into postions (Oline, DE, DT, DBs, QBs ect...).

For a position of particular intersest like DT this year or Oline next year this would make it much easier imho to keep track of what's going on. Or to keep it simple the split could be into speed, big speed, and power like the updates that the recruiting team put together.

.02 cha-ching!
