Didnt the Big 12 North (KSU's division) all have teams that lost 6 games this year? They arent a bad squad, however playing teams like McNeese St., Massachusetts, Western Kentucky, UL-Laf., Ball St., Eastern Ill., LA Tech, etc. They have came up with sum impressive records lately, but their schedule doesnt exactly reflect their "greatness." Even the BIG N schools they play can be called "creme puffs" (depending upon the year). But they still get some love for comming up with good records.
I'm not all that impressed with KSU. Let me add to that: I'm not all that impressed with the Big 12. They make it a point to beat up on college football fodder in the preseason in order to build up their hype and rankings. Then they flounder about until one or two teams are ranked high enough to get embarrassed in a BCS game.
1. KSU was supposedly the team to beat in '98 (other than the Buckeyes). But then an average Purdue team figured out how to do it. They were also the hottest team in America after throttling Oklahoma in '03. OSU spanked them like a dirty slut until Tressel-ball made it close in the 4th.
2. Texas? They beat a good Michigan team last year. They've played in some exciting Holiday (I think) bowls against over-rated Pac 10 teams. Most of all, they get their asses handed to them every year by an Oklahoma team that ends up amounting to a squirt of piss when it counts. I'm not impressed yet (knock on wood).
3. Oklahoma doesn't have it where it counts. Enough said.
4. Nebraska? Sucks.
5. Colorado? Sucks.
6. Okie St? We all saw how good a 1 point favorite Okie State team was. And they said the Bucks were the most physically dominating team they played all year. Not only does that speak well for the Bucks, but it tells you something about the Big 12.
7. Mizzou? Big 12's equivalent of Minnesota. Shows promise for a while, but you can always count on them to fold.
8. Texas Tech? I'm not sure they play football. They should just get it over with and transfer to the Pac 10.
9. Baylor? Who?
10. Iowa St? Don't think so.
11. Kansas? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
12. Texas A&M? Not lately.
Although I hate the SEC and ACC, I have a lot more respect for their football ability.
