Anyone have any hope that it'll be any good? I haven't watched very much of the new season but is it showing any promise?

Well the show hasn't been that great the past few seasons IMO, so we can hope? But I wouldn't get your hopes up too high.

It has been better this year. I think Groening has been pressuring the writers to write better.


As far as the movie goes, I have hope, but I am not confident it will be particularly good.

IMO best cartoon show- movie translation was South Park.

The only glimmer of hope that I have is I read somewhere the plot and story have been around since the glory days of seasons 3-9. The timing of putting a movie out now seems strange to me though.

Groening has returned his focus to The Simpson's since there are no more new Futurama episodes, and I've enjoyed this season so far. Hopefully it doesn't turn into a crappy musical, like the South Park movie did.
