I don't see how this should assuage any concerns of him leaving still in the next few weeks. What that reads like to me is Warde Manuel said "Jim, this is approaching critical mass, could you at least put out some ambiguous statement while you're job shopping to cool things down a bit?"

"No one knows what the future holds" and "expect to coach" is not "I'm not interested in any other job" or "I WILL be coaching..." That statement is what the great Mike Ehrmentraut would call a half measure.

He gets an offer, he's gone. Question is, will anybody have him.

I literally have no idea what the words Jim says mean anymore, so your guess is as good as mine. I've given up because at this point I don't see how this doesn't damage an already mediocre class, and harm the upcoming one too. It's Jim's world now, I'm just a prisoner of whatever that goofy mutant is thinking at any given moment in time. It's too late to pick Sparty, I'm trapped on this coaster.

I have no idea how this sh*tshow ends and I'm not as smart as the bigtime Harvard of the West guys, so I can't concoct a fantasy that makes any of this okay. I'm just laughing at your memes now because we're doomed.

I jest, in part. I come from a time when there was a hatred, but also a mutual respect. That's been missing since the Cooper years. You guys didn't respect us then. And from 2001 to 2020 we didn't respect you. I don't think we respect scUM now, honestly. But two losses has certainly opened some eyes.

Yeah, but Harbaugh’s wiring also renders him incapable of cooperating with reporters in a Big Ten teleconference.

Like, he’s gotta be the first coach in NCAA history to receive a Level I violation because of a core, non-nefarious character trait.
