Holy shit, I haven’t thought about that in awhile; how horribly embarrassing. But again, the amorphous blob that is that program, it’s leadership, and fans are too stupid/arrogant to feel shame or embarrassment about the stupid shit they do and say.

Well, there are some ways to think of this. They have facilities most schools would love to have. They have a huge alum base and a fan base that can expand quickly if they win a few big games, or it's August - September. They do have a lot of championship trophies and even if you move the count back to when the Big Ten let them back in, they've got a shit ton of wins to brag about. Academically, it's one of the highest-ranked public undergrad and grad schools in the US. They've got an endowment fund that's possibly the largest public school fund in the US. (Texas and Cal have ways of making their endowment funds look bigger.) But they also have an ass clown for a coach and haven't won squat in 15 years. Their alums, students, and fan base combine arrogance and elitism to create a delightful sense of entitled bullshit - with or without an ascot.
