My guess is that they would choose the route that doesn't enter Ohio at all. DFBIA logic says that by doing that, they bypass Ohio State.

It was more like 200+ years ago but the French have all kinds of archaic reasons to still feel arrogant/relevant today.

With tsun adopting the French characteristic of surrendering to loud noises I'd say the comparison is nearly exact.
